BY PURCHASING TICKET, TICKET HOLDER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS:
For reference, the following terminology will be applied:
Management: Including but not limited to all St Andrews Charity Polo Tournament Committee members, Security, Law Enforcement, Medical staff, Vendors, the University of St Andrews Polo Club, and the owners of the estate.
Customer or (Ticket) Holder: Including but not limited to all guests of the event that have bought or obtained a ticket to enter the facility.
Event: The site of the tournament, Errol Park Estate. Including but not limited to all structures, both permanent and temporary on the site.
1. RELEASE OF LIABILITY.
THE HOLDER EXPRESSLY ASSUMES ALL RISK AND DANGER ARISING FROM OR INCIDENTAL TO THE EVENT FOR WHICH THE TICKET IS ISSUED, WHETHER SUCH RISKS OCCUR PRIOR TO, DURING, OR SUBSEQUENT TO THE ACTUAL EVENT, INCLUDING SPECIFICALLY (BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) THE DANGERS (1) THAT THE EVENT CROWD OR INDIVIDUAL ATTENDEES MAY BE INADEQUATELY MONITORED, MANAGED, OR CONTROLLED BY EVENT SECURITY, AND AS A RESULT MAY CAUSE PERSONAL HARM OR PROPERTY DAMAGE TO THE HOLDER, AND (2) THAT THE HOLDER MAY BE EXPOSED TO DRUGS, ALCOHOL, FIGHTING, OR OTHER REASONABLY FORESEEABLE DANGEROUS CONDITIONS OR ACTIVITIES PRIOR TO, DURING, OR SUBSEQUENT TO THE EVENT. THE HOLDER EXPRESSLY RELEASES THE EVENT FACILITY, MANAGEMENT, PROMOTERS, PARTICIPANTS, PERFORMERS, ARTISTS, AND THE TICKETING AGENCY AND/OR TICKETING SERVICES PROVIDER (collectively “MANAGEMENT”) AND ALL OF THEIR OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS, FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS THAT THE HOLDER HAS OR MAY HAVE THAT ARISE FROM OR ARE INCIDENTAL TO THE EVENT, INCLUDING ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THE NEGLIGENCE OF MANAGEMENT OR MANAGEMENT’S OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, REPRESENTATIVES, OR AGENTS.
2. NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGE. EVENT DATE AND TIME SUBJECT TO CHANGE. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
IF THE EVENT FOR WHICH THIS TICKET IS ISSUED IS RESCHEDULED OR CANCELLED, THE HOLDER SHALL NOT BE ENTITLED TO A REFUND EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE REQUIRED BY LAW. INSTEAD, THE HOLDER SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT, EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED, (1) IF THE EVENT IS RESCHEDULED TO A DATE AND TIME WITHIN TEN MONTHS OF THE DATE AND TIME ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED, TO USE THIS TICKET TO ATTEND THE EVENT AT THE RESCHEDULED DATE AND TIME.
This ticket is not subject to any refund, bears no cash value, and is not redeemable for cash. Match play and set times are subject to change without notice. This ticket is not subject to exchange except as expressly provided above. Tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may be counterfeit and worthless. Tickets cannot be replaced if lost, stolen or destroyed, and are valid only for the Event for which they are issued. It is unlawful to reproduce this ticket in any form. Management reserves all rights not expressly granted to the holder by these terms.
3. RESERVATION OF MANAGEMENT’S RIGHTS.
Management reserves the right to refuse admission to or eject any person whose conduct or hygiene is deemed by Management, at Management’s sole discretion, to be undesirable, including (but not limited to) disorderly conduct, use of vulgar or abusive language, or failure to follow Management or facility rules and directions. Undesirable conduct of any of the types expressly listed above will automatically terminate this license and all rights of the holder. The exercise of management’s ejection rights hereunder does not entitle the holder to a refund of the ticket price or any part thereof. This ticket is a revocable license and admission may be refused upon refunding the face amount of the ticket, at management’s discretion. Unlawful resale or attempted resale is grounds for seizure and cancellation of the ticket, without compensation, at management’s discretion.
4. TRANSMISSION OR REPRODUCTION PROHIBITED.
The holder agrees not to transmit or aid in transmitting any description, account, picture, or reproduction of the Event, performance, exhibition or game for which this ticket is issued. The holder acknowledges that the Event may be broadcast or otherwise publicized, and grants permission for holder’s image or likeness to be used in any live or recorded transmission or reproduction of such Event, performance, exhibition or game.
5. COMPLIANCE WITH FACILITY RULES.
The holder agrees to comply with all local or facility rules that prohibit or limit alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, controlled substances, cameras, recording devices, bundles and containers of any kind from being brought into the Event premises. Violation of any rules outlined in this document may result in expulsion from the event, and removal from venue without refund or compensation.
6. TICKET PRICE.
Unless indicated otherwise, prices include all applicable taxes and/or cash discounts (if available).
TICKET PRICE IS NONREFUNDABLE EXCEPT AS SPECIFICALLY PROVIDED IN THIS AGREEMENT.
7. PURCHASE OF TICKETS.
Purchase of entry for Players requires additional costs to cover necessary Player expenses, including but limited to, petrol, pony hire, and stabling. Failure to pay for all necessary costs as outlined previously, will result in the forfeiture of the Player’s entry, and disqualifies them from participating in the tournament. Details about these fees will be distributed with ample notice.
8. INABILITY TO ATTEND EVENT
Should a Ticket Holder be unable to attend the Event, no refund shall be granted.
9. TERMS OF SALE.
Customer assumes all risk or danger incidental to the Event, whether occurring prior to, during, or subsequent to, the actual Event. The terms of sale of each ticket issued pursuant to a transaction initiated on this website are subject to any and all terms imposed by the applicable Management. In order to be admitted to an Event, each Customer must present the original ticket in its original, undamaged, unaltered form, to the applicable venue at the appropriate time. Entry may be refused for various reasons, including misconduct, intoxication, etc., at the discretion of the Management.
10. PUBLICITY RELEASE.
Photography, webcasting, and audio/video recording takes place at and during the Event. You consent to being webcast, broadcast, filmed, videotaped, and/or recorded as a member of the audience and a ticket holder. You release Management and our affiliates and licensees from any liability for loss or damage to persons or property arising from those actions. Finally, you expressly authorize use of your image, likeness, name, voice, and all reproductions in any media (even if invented later), forever, in any location in the world, by us or our licensees, and you waive any rights of privacy or publicity related to such uses.
11. FAILURE TO AGREE TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS
If Ticket holder fails to agree to the Terms and Conditions outlined above, the individual’s ticket is invalidated, with no right to refund, and may be redistributed at the discretion of the 2023 St Andrews Charity Polo Tournament Committee.
Terms & Conditions for The Garden Party Table Ballot
The 2023 St Andrews Charity Polo Tournament Garden Party Table Ballot
You, the table head, agree to the following Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and your guests by entering a ballot the Garden Party Table Ballot; if you are successful in being given a Garden Party Table, the additional indicated Terms & Conditions also apply without your explicit knowledge of the outcome of the Garden Party Table Ballot at the point of entering the ballot.
All persons who enter the Garden Party Table Ballot are subject to the following terms & conditions:
- You confirm that all the information you provide is true, accurate and complete at the time of entering your ballot. If any given information is found to be incorrect, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to remove your ballot.
- You agree that to the best of your knowledge you have not submitted more than one ballot entry for a Garden Party Table at this year’s Tournament. If a suspected duplicate or repeated ballot is received, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to remove all involved ballots.
- You agree to allow the Tournament Committee to use your information for the sole purpose of processing your ballot and any subsequent action deemed fit by the Committee relating to the 2023 Tournament. We will not share, distribute or sell your data to any 3rd parties. Further information can be found in our privacy policy.
- You understand that there is no guarantee of you being given a Garden Party Table and all decisions made by the Tournament Committee are final. The result of the ballot will be communicated via email and a record of successful tables will not be made public; in line with our privacy policy.
In addition to the above terms & conditions, all persons who enter the Garden Party Table Ballot and are successful in being given a Garden Party Table are subject to the following terms & conditions:
- You agree to the Tournament’s full terms & conditions. These are found below:
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR THE 2024 TOURNAMENT
- You, the table head, are responsible for the table deposit, indicated by the Tournament Committee, being paid within 24 hours of receiving notice via email from the Tournament Committee that you have been successful in The Garden Party Table Ballot. This is non-refundable & non-negotiable. If the deposit isn’t paid within 24 hours of this communication being sent, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to immediately offer your table to a previously unsuccessful ballot.
- You are responsible for the final payment being made and any additional information required being submitted, before a communicated deadline. The final payment shall be adjusted relative to the deposit already paid. If either this final payment have not been made or any additional information hasn't been submitted before this deadline, the Tournament Committee reserves the right to immediately reallocate your table to a previously unsuccessful ballot.
- You agree that you, as the table head, are responsible for the behaviour and actions of all of your guests. You accept this on behalf of your guests & acknowledge that any decisions relating to the admittance of your guests by the Tournament Committee is final.
- You agree to the Tournament Committee reserving the right at any point to remove you or any of your guests from the Tournament should you be deemed to have acted in any manner that the Tournament Committee consider to be inappropriate.
- You agree to any other Terms & Conditions, either new or updated, set out by the Tournament Committee and the University of St Andrews Polo Club (which are made before / on the day of the event) that are in regard to the 2024 Tournament. Any changes to any Terms & Conditions that effect you shall be communicated to you with the option to opt out.
The Tournament Committee will always aim to act in a fair, non-discriminatory, responsible and clear manner with the interests of everyone at heart.
